Fertility Woes Often Bring Many Questions And Precious Few Answers

Around the world, there are many women who struggle with the issue of fertility. More so today than at any other point in history there is help available for many of the women who struggle with this very issue. While there is nothing that can cure infertility in everyone, there are many treatments available that allow women who have had monumental difficulty in conceiving to not only conceive but also carry a child when they had almost given up on that dream.

Modern advances in the treatment of fertility and/or infertility are taking the world by storm. Some of these treatments have created such issues as multiple births of nearly Biblical proportions while others have only managed to create one single tiny miracle for those who had all but given up on miracles. For those women, I’m sure that one tiny miracle was quite enough.

Modern medicine are taking steps every day to help those who continue to struggle with fertility realize their dreams of having a baby of their own. For those who find the dream too far away or fear greater complications as a result of fertility treatments, there are other options that could and perhaps should be considered. Everyone is different and these options are not for everyone, but if you have struggled with fertility, then perhaps the idea of a surrogate would be something in the cards or stars for your family. Surrogates provide a little more stability in the process and are often done under strict requirements and guidelines and can be among close relatives or professional surrogates. As I said before it isn’t the answer for everyone but it is a solution for many who have reached the point of nearly giving up.

Fertility comes so easily to some women while others seem to work so hard for it. More than once I’ve heard doctors tell patients that worrying about getting pregnant can often prevent your body from getting pregnant. Once these women give up on trying, they find that they are suddenly pregnant one day when they least expected it. Never give up on your dreams of fertility, but it may be a good idea sometimes to take a small step back and relieve some of the pressure you’ve placed upon yourself.

The problem is that there are so many books, videos, doctors, and treatments, etc. to help those trying to conceive that it is nearly impossible for the novice to know what really is true and what is utter crap. I think the best thing that most women can do is to speak candidly with their doctors and seek second opinions after a specified amount of time is serious results aren’t forthcoming. By being open about this you are allowing your doctor know that you respect his or her opinions and treatment but desire results. Most doctors will not fault you for this, especially if you have been open and honest about it from the very beginning. Most of all, I wish you the miracle you’ve been hoping for and a long life for everyone involved to enjoy said miracle of fertility.
